Dr. Andrea Weierich joins the management of the Ecclesia Group as Group-wide CIO
Detmold – The Ecclesia Group is once again strengthening its management team: On 1 September 2024, Dr. Andrea Weierich will take over as Group-wide Chief Information Officer (CIO) and head of the IT organization for the entire group of companies in Germany and abroad. At the same time, she will become a member of the management board and report directly to Jochen Körner, CEO of the Ecclesia Group. In this role, the 56-year-old will be responsible for the overarching management of the IT transformation program that is already underway, the ongoing optimization and coordination of IT capacities, and the further development of the group-wide system landscape.

Dr. Andrea Weierich studied business administration at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, specializing in business informatics, and completed her studies with a doctorate. After graduating, she spent several years as a principal and member of the management board at the technology consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, corporate director of IT at Henkel, and senior manager for the consumer goods industry at Accenture. In 2012, Dr. Andrea Weierich joined Allianz, where she held various management positions over the years. Since 2022, she has been leading a global team at Amazon Web Services as Senior Manager “Solutions Architecture in Global Financial Services”, focusing on the key topics of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), data & analytics platforms, cloud migration and new business models in the insurance industry.
