Ecclesia Group acquires majority stake in Lubeca Versicherungskontor
As an insurance broker, Lubeca specialises in managing the insurance affairs of the Possehl Group. With around 13,500 employees and over 200 operationally independent companies in more than 30 countries, the Possehl Group is one of the leading international conglomerates. With its 14 employees at the Lübeck location, Lubeca also serves traditional industrial and commercial customers. The insurance broker has also been successfully cooperating with Ecclesia Credit in credit insurance for over ten years.
"By acquiring a stake in Lubeca, we are specifically strengthening our position in the industrial brokerage business and supporting the company in further expanding its range of services for the Possehl Group," explains Jochen Körner, CEO of the Ecclesia Group. "At the same time, we are tapping into additional growth potential via Lubeca - both in the third-party business and in the area of occupational pension schemes."
