Ecclesia takes over the Belgian insurance broker Van Schoote
Detmold – The Ecclesia Group has acquired the Van Schoote Group as of October 8, 2023. The brokerage firm, based in the Belgian city of Ostend, focuses on medium-sized companies in the West Flanders region. The acquisition strengthens the Ecclesia Group's industrial business in Belgium. Following the acquisitions of KlinikRente and the Pension Solutions Group this summer, the Ecclesia Group is successfully continuing its growth course abroad.
The Van Schoote Group complements the industrial business of CONCORDIA NV, which has been a subsidiary of the Ecclesia Group since 2016. The Ecclesia Group is acquiring 100% of the Van Schoote Group, which consists of two companies.
“Belgium is an interesting market for us with many attractive growth opportunities. The Van Schoote Group strengthens our position in a region where we have so far been barely active. In return, CONCORDIA will be able to contribute its strong expertise in company pension schemes for customers of the Van Schoote Group, so that services for customers can be further improved,” explains Jochen Körner, CEO of the Ecclesia Group.
