- Try to minimize the damage by taking appropriate measures.
- To do this, initiate appropriate emergency measures.

What should you do after the damage has occurred?
- If possible, switch off electrical devices or electronic systems, unless this has significant consequences.
- Take photos or videos of the damaged buildings and objects to preserve evidence. Document the water levels.
- Keep damaged items.
- Remove water and mud from the building as soon as possible.
- Remove absorbent materials from the building.
- Ventilate, clean and dry the rooms. However, try to keep mud moist.
- If possible, secure the building to prevent unauthorized entry.
