We mold individual skills into a common strength
Our greatest strength lies in the diversity of our group. We are many and it is precisely in this that our strength unfolds.
The key to success: our employees
We combine the individual skills of our various companies to create a joint strength that is greater than the sum of its parts. Another important factor here is our employees. They are the ones who develop solutions for our customers and work for them every day. They live our customer focus.
At the same time, they also embody our competence and expertise. That is why we not only want to show you some of our employees in photos, but also introduce them to you and give you an insight into their valuable work. In the end, it's always about managing risks, protecting values and safeguarding livelihoods - regardless of whether it's a start-up, an international logistics company, a DAX-listed corporation, a hospital or a church institution.
Diversity and expertise
With more than 3,000 employees, Ecclesia is the leading insurance broker in Germany and offers employees a wide range of opportunities due to the size of the company. Variety is very important and Filiz Cosar also appreciates this. She is a team assistant in sales at our industrial broker deas in Cologne. "I feel very much at home in the Ecclesia Group. We have many opportunities and possibilities here to work in different areas and to further our education. We often travel throughout Germany and there is something new to experience at each of our locations. This offers plenty of room for creativity."
And creativity is also important for an insurance broker. As a company, we consciously bring together people from different departments and with different experiences and perspectives and integrate them into customer projects. This not only enriches our corporate culture and the working atmosphere for each individual, but we also promote creativity and innovation for our customers. Timo Klouth, team leader of architects in product management, also knows that something good comes from this:
– Timo Klouth, Team Leader Architects Product ManagementBy working together with different departments and teams within the Ecclesia Group, we can achieve many synergy effects. This allows us to pool our different areas of expertise and jointly develop innovative solutions for our customers.
Our employees have a wide range of professional qualifications and backgrounds. Insurance brokers, IT specialists, engineers, automotive experts, architects and mathematicians work together in interdisciplinary and interdepartmental teams for our customers. They are all needed to find the right solutions for complex issues and challenges. In addition to insurance expertise, special technical or industry knowledge is also required.
– Dirk Meyer-Hetling, Chairman of the Management Board of deasAs an insurance broker, the Ecclesia Group is the house of 1,000 professions. I appreciate the dynamism and flexibility within our group of companies. Thanks to our competence centers and expert networks, we can offer customers the best possible solutions for their individual challenges.
Change of perspective
The different perspectives and diverse expertise enable us to tackle challenges in a variety of ways and develop innovative solutions. "I find it exciting how many different professional groups we have. The diversity of professional groups shows how complex and interesting our working environment is," says Dr. Simon Diel, Senior Actuary, Ecclesia Reinsurance Broker. "I am a mathematician and have been with the company for around three years. I specialize in the modeling and pricing of reinsurance solutions. I feel particularly comfortable in this role, as it covers a wide range of technical and economic topics. This makes my field of work very challenging, but at the same time extremely varied."
Working together and learning from each other
His colleague Rita Kapoor-Schnietz, management consultant at Ecclesia Re, our reinsurance broker, adds: "What I particularly appreciate about my team is the respectful interaction and a positive feedback culture. We are all highly motivated and professionally organized. We recognize, appreciate and use the strengths of each individual."
Leonhard Ihli, Head of Insurer Management, confirms this: “The cooperation between the teams and the regular exchange of ideas enable us to learn from each other and develop innovative solutions together.”
Teamwork and employee motivation are very important to the managers. “My professional aspiration is to not only have a good professional fit, but also a good personal fit. This works very well in our team, and I appreciate it very much,” emphasizes Christoph Lins. He is the Head of Property/Technical Insurance at the deas branch in Cologne-Düsseldorf and is responsible for a team of 14 employees.
– Leonhard Ihli, Head of Insurer ManagementIn 2025, internationalization will be a focus of insurance management. We want to further intensify cooperation with our colleagues in Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria in order to play the insurance market together.
Across national borders
We are continuously expanding our footprint in Europe and building our presence step by step. As Ecclesia, we don't just focus on Germany. If you want to be successful, you have to think internationally. This calls for cross-border solutions in order to provide our customers with the best possible support. This is because the requirements for the internationalization of companies and the potential risks for their own business model are increasing. We have the answers to this. And we share common values with our subsidiaries and holdings so that our customers can always rely on us, wherever they are.
