Ecclesia Credit: Management change at the market leader for credit insurance and financing
After several successful years at the helm, Jörg P. Kowalewski and Markus Moritz are handing over the management of the company to Stefan Vogel and Mark Sieber. The change is taking place as planned by mutual agreement as part of a long-planned succession plan and from a position of strength. Both previous managing directors will remain associated with the company in responsible functions. Jochen Körner, CEO of the Ecclesia Group, recognises the change as an important step: "Ecclesia Credit is a success story that exemplifies how we bundle expertise in the Ecclesia Group and develop it together for the benefit of our customers."
Under the leadership of Jörg Kowalewski and Markus Moritz, four specialised units have become a market-leading specialist broker. Stefan Vogel and Mark Sieber, who have accompanied this process as Managing Directors of CFG Finance and km credit consulting, represent the next step in the development - for stability and sustainable further development within the Ecclesia Group as well as the consistent orientation of the company towards the future as part of the Ecclesia Group.
Jochen Körner adds: "My special thanks go to Markus Moritz and Jörg Kowalewski. They have brought together the four previously independent specialised units - km credit consulting, CFG Finance, the credit activities of deas and SCHUNCK GROUP - under the umbrella of the Ecclesia Group and built up Ecclesia Credit with vision, attitude and great personal commitment. In doing so, they created the basis on which the company stands today."
With Stefan Vogel and Mark Sieber, a well-rehearsed management duo that has played a decisive role in shaping the development of Ecclesia Credit for years is taking over.
Stefan Vogel has been with the company since 2022 and was most recently responsible for the midmarket segment as Managing Director of CFG Finance. Mark Sieber has been with the Ecclesia Group for 13 years and was most recently responsible for the multinational business as Managing Director of km credit consulting. The management team, which continues to consist of Lisa Gille as Head of Operations and Sven Coels and Matthias Bühler as Managing Directors, will ensure further continuity.
"Ecclesia Credit will systematically expand its market leadership in the coming years," explains Stefan Vogel. "Our aim is to support the entire life cycle of working capital, in particular receivables and liabilities - from risk hedging and alternative financing models such as receivables financing to guarantees, leasing and political risk. We don't see ourselves as a product provider, but as a solution architect who works with our customers to develop the right strategy for security, liquidity and room for manoeuvre along their value chain."
Mark Sieber adds: "We have completed an important stage and, as Ecclesia Credit, are the leading advisor and broker in credit and working capital management. We need to defend and expand this position. In doing so, we will consistently build on our strengths in providing professional, personalised advice to our clients, but also actively work on business areas where we still see potential today. We will also tap into new business areas that fit in with our consulting approach and make a meaningful contribution to diversifying our product portfolio. In doing so, we will continue to rely on our innovative strength and our pronounced entrepreneurial spirit, which - together with the strength of the Ecclesia Group - will make an important contribution to achieving our goals."
Markus Moritz and Jörg Kowalewski will in future be active in sales and key account management with a focus on international key customers, but will also continue to provide support in business development and promote new business areas. Both will ensure continuity and support the transition.
The success story of Ecclesia Credit began in 2020, when the Ecclesia Group bundled its credit and financing expertise under one roof for the first time. A joint platform was created from km credit consulting, CFG Finance and the credit units of deas and the SCHUNCK GROUP. This was followed in summer 2025 by the legal merger to form today's Ecclesia Credit GmbH with more than 80 specialists. As part of the Specialty division headed by Andrea Michalczyk-Schröder, Ecclesia Credit stands for professional depth, networked expertise and the consistent further development of the market - with a clear goal: to create security and room for manoeuvre when it comes to liquidity, trust and future viability.
